Hope Farm House Barn is a very special place to stay just outside the popular White Peak village of Alstonefield. We are not the cheapest in the market, but if you are looking for plenty of space, exceptional accommodation, a quiet and relaxing home from home in some of the most beautiful scenery in England where two of you can forget the rest of the world for a while – then look no further!
It is an early C18 barn which has been restored with great attention to detail in a way which has kept as much as possible of the original features of the barn. Visitors start to get a feel for the timeless traditional life of this part of the Peak District, where the hill farmers still preserve the centuries-old landscape of stone walls and pasture.
We offer exceptionally spacious accommodation, with separate kitchen, dining-room and sitting-room, all beautifully furnished and very cosy – an ideal romantic bolt hole! And there is extra space to relax in upstairs, with a snooker table, piano and library area.
We are right in the middle of England and easily accessible, but newcomers are always astonished by the variety of beautiful scenery, rivers and dales, rocks and crags, fields and copses, and wild moorland.
There is plenty for everyone to do, walks gentle or challenging, cycling the Peakland trails, market towns for shopping, houses and gardens to visit. Whatever time of year there is so much to explore.
